Make your own facemask ~ Beauty for less!! Feel and look younger.

How many of you use a face mask to make your skin look younger?

I have to admit, I am no spring chick and need all the help I can get.    I do use face masks because I feel they tighten up my skin and make it feel so much softer.

You don't have to spend a fortune to give yourself a facial with a mask.

Make your own Facemask
. Honey is great because most people do not have allergies to it.  It can also be used on all skin types

Oily Skin Types
(Some of these may irritate dry skin types)
. Yogurt Is GREAT if you have oily skin
.  Fruits such as citrus, strawberries, banana, apple cider, rosewater.  These are great for oily skin
.  Pineapple And Papaya are great for unclogging pores
.  Clay Or Mud Mask (This can suck the oil right out of your skin so be careful with this)

Dry Skin Types

.  Coconut Oil is wonderful if you have dry skin
.  Olive Oil
.  Shea Butter
.  Cocoa Butter
.  Almond Oil
.  Jojoba Oil
.  Aloe
. Vitamin E
.  Glycerin
.  Mashed avacados

To Calm Sensitive Skin (I do this after waxing my face)

. Cucumbers
. Ginseng
. Green tea leaves

Decide what kind of skin type you have and pick some of the ingredients.  You may want to mix some from the oily section with the dry to get what you want.

Mix your ingredients until they are gooey or creamy, depending on what you are mixing.

1.  Open up your pores
You can use a very warm towel that you have wet under hot water, or a facial steamer

2.   Put the mask mixture on your face avoiding your eyes.  Just smear it on

3.  Leave the mask on for 15 to 20 minutes

4.  Using warm water, rinse off the facemask

5.  Splash cool water on your face to close the pores

6.  Pat your face dry with a clean towel

This is a really fun thing to do with a bunch of your girlfriends for a Girls Night Out!

  2. I haven't tried a mask in a really long time. Maybe I should. I have been lucky with my skin. I have my mom's. We both have really good complexions. If only I wasn't allergic to most products that had sulfa in them. It's product with that in it that totally make me break out.
